By Air: Direct flights from Kolkata to Leh are available on Indigo, Jet Airways, Go Air, and Spice Jet; the minimum journey time is three hours. There might be a layover in New Delhi for some flights.
By Train: Travel to Jammu Tawi Railway Station in about 27 hours by taking the Friday-only Vivek Express or the four-day-a-week Swaraj Express from Kolkata. You can choose to take a taxi from Jammu to complete the remaining distance.
By Road: Bus travel from Kolkata to Ladakh is not a direct route. Travel approximately 2,000 km in about 35 hours by bus from Kolkata to Delhi’s ISBT Kashmiri Gate and then again to Jammu Bus Stand from Delhi’s ISBT Kashmiri Gate. There are several ways to get from Jammu to Kashmir, including shared taxis in the area, buses, private taxis, and Volvo buses that leave from Jammu Bus Stand. The railway station, Jammu Bus Stand, and Gumat Chowk exits are the daily locations for both private and shared taxi services. Over the course of eight to ten hours, the roughly 300 km trip from Jammu to Kashmir is covered.
